19" barrel in caliber 6.5mm Japanese. Manufactured at the Chigusa factory of Nagoya Arsenal. Offered is a very high condition Type 38 carbine with all matching numbers and full mum. Features inverted V front sight with no guards (unusual), blued cleaning rod, open V rear sight to 2,000 meters, two piece buttstock with full length handguard, knurled safety with smooth sides and notch indicator, and cupped edge sheet metal buttplate. Aside from the trigger guard and floorplate, which are a blue-brown patina, balance of metal retains approximately 90% of the war-time reapplied blue finish. Stocks are excellent. Fine shiny bore. Perfect action. Comes with an original Japanese canvas sling, arsenal marked inside, with Japanese label (missing closure).
