4” barrel in 9mm caliber. In an attempt to conceal production numbers of Lugers being manufactured in Germany in non -compliance with the Treaty of Versaille, the Germans manufactured coded pistols. They did not designate year of production. This pistol is referred to as a G date manufactured only in 1935. Has the S42 factory code, has all matching numbers, excellent straw colors on small parts. Has matching magazine, grips are not numbered. Barrel retains approximately 40% blue on right side and 10% on the left. There is blue wear to all the high edges of rail, side plate, rear grip strap is worn grey as is front. Balance of frame retains approximately 80% blue, fine bore and action.
