26” barrel. Caliber not marked, but it is centerfire. Bore measures .30 These rifles were manufactured from the 1870s to 1895. This model features the for-end, which is far scarcer than those without. The barrel is part octagon and retains approximately 75%-80% original blue, starting to thin, with some light freckling. Has a Beach-style folding front sight, wind-drift rear sight and period tang sight. The nickel plated frame is frosted with some light age freckling. Retains approximately 75%. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with original finish and no cracks. Has a nickel Swiss butt plate. Very good bore with visible rifling. Caliber should be determined before firing. Far above average Stevens tip-up.
