22" barrel in .32-40 WCF caliber. This rifle was manufactured 1908-09. It is an early rifle; featuring full round barrel, blue finish, sporting rear sight, takedown, perch belly walnut stock, rifle buttplate, and Lyman tang sight. Rear sight was manufactured by Marble's, original front sight, and has a period replacement Lyman ramp. Chambered for the popular .32-40 Winchester cartridge, with the special order takedown feature. Has the brass cartridge counter and the style two barrel address used from 1904-1911. Barrel retains approximately 93%-95% original factory blue with some light age freckling. Frame contains approximately 40% high polish blue with the balance mixed patina. Traces of color on lever. Stocks are very good to excellent with no cracks or chips. Perfect action. Strong rifled bore. Very nice, early 1899 with special order sights and popular Winchester caliber.
