A nice clean all original example of a seldom found Freidag toy. Freidag was a relatively obscure toy company from Freeport, IL…home of Arcade toys as well. This company made a number of different toys but like Dent Hardware of Fullerton, PA they did not have a big distribution. Freidag`s toys were quite unique such as this example that had passengers seated in the various windows. Typical of Freidag their toys tended to be heavier in weight than other manufacturers, more than likely so as to insure that in pouring the molten iron into the molds that the iron would flow and molds would turn out with little or no loss. This toy weighs 3 ½ lbs. Nicely painted in a dark green with orange highlighting & muti-colored passengers. The elaborately detailed tires including dual rear wheels add to the overall appearance. The toy is all original and it appears that at some point a clear coat might have been added?
