The first gun is a J.C. Higgins Model 1017 20 bore with 2-3/4" chamber, 28" blued barrels, full rib, single bead, mirror bores, left barrel choked full, right barrel improved, manual ejectors, case colored box lock frame, pistol grip hardwood stock, rubber recoil pad, and double triggers. Tight as new lock-up. Wood is excellent with a few usual dings. 85% case colors on frame and 90% blue on barrels. Perfect working order. Forestock needs longer bolt. The second gun is an Ithaca 12 bore with 30" blued barrels, smokeless steel, manual ejector, full matted rib, single bead, excellent bores, left barrel choked improved, right barrel modified, case colored box lock action with cocking indicators, and double triggers. Serial No. 451178. All matching numbers. Checkered splinter forend. Checkered pistol grip walnut stock with composite buttplate. Wood is excellent with no cracks. Frame retains 40% brilliant case colors. Barrels are brown-grey patina with lots of spotting. Forearm is a tad loose. Excellent shotgun to use. Would greatly benefit with rust reblue of barrels.
