5" barrel in .45 ACP. Manufactured 1917. Standard issue World War I military. Left side of frame has the "G.H.S." inspector stamp (Gilbert Stewart 1915-1918). Slide has the patent dates with the pony at rear. Right side of slide stamped "Model of 1911 U.S Army". The blued barrel has the "HP" stamp in line with bore, no serifs. This was used from serial numbers 110 to 425. Has all proper parts to include correct sights, wide spur checkered hammer, checkered safety, checkered slide stop, diamond checkered walnut grips, flat mainspring housing with lanyard stamped "H165", long smooth trigger, two tone magazine without lanyard. Fine clean bore. This 1917 remains in excellent condition. Slide has only minor high edge wear with some minor thinning, as does frame. Even the front grip straps retain the majority of their original finish. About the only flaking is some blue-brown patina on mid-right side of frame. An exceptional 1917.
