7-1/2" barrel in .45 LC caliber. These revolvers were manufactured in 1961. They made 7,390. This is an early Second Generation Colt with special features to include anniversary stamp on left side of barrel; gold plated trigger guard, backstrap, trigger, hammer, ejector rod head, and cylinder pin; cylinders are fluted. Entire gun is high polish royal blue finish. Unlike most commemoratives, the previous owner actually used this gun. It shows light muzzle wear, some light wear on ejector housing, light drag line, and some high edge cylinder wear. The original walnut grips were replaced with extremely high quality real stag two-piece panels. Gold plating is thinning straps. Bore and action are beautiful.
