In 1947 Gibson officially introduced the J-50 guitar, essentially a natural-finish J-45. One difference between the two is the top, which is triple-bound in the J-50 instead of single-bound; however, Gibson also made some early J-45s with a triple-bound top. Serial No. A060157. Made in the USA. No. 2 Grade. 1970's vintage. Fine original wood body acoustic guitar with complete inner decal. The guitar needs detailing. Could also use a neck adjustment and needs to be re-strung. Very solid. Minimal crazing. Nice tortoise edge with plate. Extremely tight. Comes with a period case and strap. An excellent, high quality guitar that with a little tune-up would be ready to play. An American classic.
Condition: (Very Good).
Item Dimensions: 42'' L.
