Serial No. 118804. This model was introduced in 1952, and this example dates to the 1970's. The guitar is in beautiful all original condition and had a complete tune-up and new set of strings performed in Lititz, Pennsylvania at Ken's Music Shop. Lititz is famous for its world renowned recording studio that has been used by a multitude of famous performers. This guitar has the distinctive gold top. Neck has pearl inlays. Ivory accents and gold knobs. It is in beautiful all original condition and is ready to play. The Gibson Les Paul needs no introduction as it was one of the most widely used guitars of the 1970's. Legendary rock stars known to have played a Gold Top Les Paul include Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Brian Jones, and Jimmy Page; all of which, would have been from this era. A true classic electric guitar from the 1970's Rock 'n Roll era. Comes in its original purple felt-lined hard case.
