This lot consists of two pieces of Roseville vases, one of which is from the Moss collection and the other from the Poppy collection. The Moss collection was introduced in 1936 consisting of a pattern that depicts an embossed Spanish moss hanging in clusters n vertical lines from the brown branches with green leaves. This collection was introduced in 1938 consisting of a large poppy blossom on both sides of the vase against a smooth matt glaze and consisting of green leaves. The stems and leaves tend to blend into the background while the poppy blossom is integrated into the top edge of the vase.
