This group consists of four small collectible animal toys from the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. The first is a 10 cm Steiff Bullfinch bird. He is standing unjointed, and made from colorfully airbrushed mohair which has darkened over time. His legs are metal and his wing tips are made from dramatic long black fibers. He retains his button and yellow tag. The second is a Schuco black Terrier. He is 2-½” tall to the top of his ears, fully jointed, and made from mohair. The third is a Schuco white Terrier. He is 2-½” tall to the top of his ears, fully jointed, and made from white wool plush. He is missing his tail. And the fourth item is a Schuco baby bird. He is 2” tall, standing on metal feet, and made from felt and mohair, which has darkened over time. Condition: As noted. Good to very good condition overall. All with light playwear. Provenance: A fine New England collection.
