Offered is a standard manufactured K98 short rifle. Bridge is stamped “42/1939”. Manufactured at Mauser-Werke AG, Oberndorf am Neckar, Wurttemberg. This carbine, or short rifle, was the standard shoulder arm of the German Armed Forces during World War II. Matching numbers on bridge, barrel, rear sight, bolt, stock, buttplate, trigger guard, floorplate and front barrel band. Original sling. Laminated stock is very good. Thin steel buttplate. Excellent bore and perfect action. All metal retains approximately 90% reapplied blue finish. No import marks. Fine example of a Nazi Mauser.
