Blued octagonal barrel, marked “A. STROVER, NORDHAUSEN.” on top flat with caliber designation marks on left side near breech. Front ramp sight and adjustable rear target sight. Casehardened falling block single shot action, engraved with scrolls on left side and marked “TELL/D.R.G.M.” Action is cocked and opened with cocking backstrap. Double set triggers, fire blued takedown lever on left side, polished block with German proofs. Engraved triggerguard and backstrap cocking lever. One-piece walnut wrap around checkered target grip, carved with thumb rest and base support. Checkered splinter forend with large knob for removal. Black horn buttcap and lanyard ring. Very good condition. Barrel retains 90% to 95% original blue finish with light edge wear and a few scattered scratches and marks. Action retains 60% to 70% casehardening, some fading and wear from thumb. Gripstraps and triggerguard have a light grey patina. Grip good, thumb rest has been broken off and reattached, some wear to checkering and scattered marks from use. Forend missing a sliver of wood, exposing bottom of barrel on right side, scattered light marks and area of old glue around takedown screw. Excellent bore.
