Lid is inlaid on top with grey quartz. Rectangular panel on front with four corners inlaid with beautifully figured Moss Agate and diamond-shaped center panel inlaid with grey gold quartz. Quartz has usual stress cracks and a chip out of the right hand corner of diamond-shape. The rest of the match safe is engraved in floral and geometric designs. Slight wear overall to engraving on gold. Inscription on back reads, "Presented to I. Anderson by his friends of the Sutro Tunnell January 1871".
