Round Damascus barrels, solid matte rib marked “UNION MACHINE Co. NEW YORK.” Steel action with two back-action locks, marked “Pat’d June 20, 1883” on right lockplate and “Machine-Made” on left side. Figured walnut pistol-grip buttstock with checkered wrist and black rubber maker’s buttplate, checkered walnut forend. Good condition. Barrels retain perhaps 70-80% Damascus finish with some dark spots and wear on the tops, rough bores. Action retains a grey patina, with case colors turned mostly to silver or grey. Stocks very good, checkering worn and some scattered marks from use, buttplate missing about 1”.
