Browned Damascus steel round barrels with solid matte rib and single brass bead, rib with scroll engraving at breech and marked all caps "W&C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS & PATENTEES, LONDON". Sidelock hammer actions extensively decorated with fine scroll engraving and marked "W&C SCOTT & SON" on both sideplates; the right side featuring an engraved setter hunting a pheasant and the other with a pointer and a pheasant. Trigger guard bow engraved with an encircled pheasant with scroll engraving on both sides. Extractors and double triggers. Partially figured walnut pistol grip buttstock with checkered grip and makers hard brown rubber buttplate with relief scene with hunter next to dog with pheasant. Checkered splinter forearm with triangular horn insert at tip. Good condition; barrels retain most of re-brown finish with Damascus visible beneath; pitting around breeches and some wear to markings; left bore very good, right bore shows some corrosion and denting. Actions retain an even grey patina and the engraving is excellent. One hammer has been replaced and repaired. Stocks are very good with some wear to checkering and scattered marks from use.
