Manufactured 1890. Standard features include full octagon barrel, full magazine, Winchester sporting front and rear sights, blued finish, case colored hammer and lever, walnut stocks, and rifle buttplate. These .22 caliber Winchester Model 1873s are rarely found in any condition. This rifle is an exception. The barrel and tube are a pleasing soft patina with razor sharp edges and legends. Frame retains a generous 30-40% of its original Winchester high polish blue finish with the balance turning soft patina. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks, and just a few minor storage bruises. Perfect action. Visible rifling. A beautiful homogeneous look and far above average. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
