This Weatherby custom rifle features the German J.P. Sauer action. Features include blued finish, hooded ramp front sight, jeweled bolt, Redfield mounts, Lyman All American 6x scope, engraved oak leaf floorplate with “B” attached. It is the stock that sets this rifle apart. It has a fully carved, full length Mannlicher style stock with black contrasting forend and a rosewood grip. The entire stock from pistol grip to muzzle is almost completely hand carved in an oak leaf pattern. Pistol grip has finger grooves and high European-style Monte Carlo stock with scalloped comb. Right side of stock has a carving of a moose with mountain background and is stippled and left side has oak leaves with rollover cheek piece. Has a Weatherby red rubber recoil waffle pad. Action is stamped “MK V South Gate, Calif.”. While we could not find a Mannlicher style rifle in any of the original catalogs, Weatherby’s gun shop would customize any gun you wished. This rifle retains virtually all of the factory blue finish. Stock is excellent. Fine bore and action. Very unusual one of a kind Weatherby custom. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this firearm will be given to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
