This early Fourth Change square butt target revolver was manufactured between 1915 and 1942, starting at serial No. 241704. This is the scarce Target Model with round top strap, beautifully fitted target rear sight, high Patridge target front sight, with early high polish blue finish and case colored hammer and trigger. The early hammer has the reg. U.S. patent stamps. The barrel and cylinder are numbered to gun. Small non-medallion diamond checkered walnut grips are numbered to gun in pencil on right panel. This revolver has seen very little use. There is a very faint drag line. Cylinder shows virtually no sign of burn. Beautiful case colors on hammer and trigger. 99% of the original factory high polish finish blue finish. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action. An extremely high condition pre-war Target Model.
