Round blued steel barrel with front bayonet lug/sight and 1873 rear sight. Marked at breech “V/P/eagles head/P” and on top stamped “R”. Model 1873 breech block and standard Springfield marked lock. Typical Model 1873 steel mounts and full length walnut stock stamped “US” on butt plate. Triangular socket bayonet also stamped “US”. Good condition, barrel retains scattered traces of blue finish with a mostly spotted brown patina with some surface rust. Breech block retains traces of finish but mostly a freckled brown patina. Lock retains a light gray patina with scattered spotting. Furniture with traces of blue and scattered areas of rust. Very good shiny bore. Stock good but with no cartouches and a few minor scuffs, refinished. Bayonet with blue finish and scattered areas of rust,
