Circa 1820 to 1830. OL: 55". BL: 39 - 3/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. SR: Missing three slivers of wood on left side of forestock. Incise carving. One silver inlay. This signed "Michael Martin" Kentucky target-rifle is still in original flintlock condition with very nice incised carving behind the cheekpiece and on the fore-arm between he lock and the rear tail-pipe. The four-piece patchbox is nicely engraved and the stock has a very bold curl.
