Circa 1830-40's. Spear point blade with forged bolster, false edge unsharpened and ground from both sides. Ebony handle with raised checkered panels on four sides, silver pins inlaid on obverse and reverse, coin silver ferrule and pommel engraved with foliate motifs. Original engraved silver sheath with frog stud and ball tip. Blade with sharpening scratches and light spotting, some original polish remains. Handle is cracked lengthwise on reverse side. Sheath is in excellent condition.
