These were manufactured by Mauser for the German military. In 1937 the bluing method was changed from rust process to salt blue process. The parts which has previously been straw colored were also salt blued. The chamber on this pistol is dated 1937 and the toggle is stamped "S/42" for the Mauser code. Features all matching numbers that includes both grip panels and magazine. Right side of frame is stamped with the Waffenamt 63 twice. Left side of barrel is stamped Waffenamt 63 as well. This pistol has seen very little use, still retaining 98% of its original factory blue with just a hint of light high edge wear. One of the finest examples of this type we have seen.
