This rifle was adopted to replace the Model 1895 carbine. Produced by Fabrique de Armes of Oviedo from 1916 to 1951 and by the Industrias de Guerra de Cataluna from 1936 to 1939. Frame is No. 11478 and No. 3Z1654. Bolt is No. 3Z1654. Left side of frame is stamped "Cal. 7.62". Floorplate and trigger guard are No. 1654. Import marked on right side of barrel. Frame retains 90% blue. Barrel retains 60% blue, thinning. Trigger guard and floorplate retain 70% blue. Wood is excellent to near mint. Strong, clean bore.
