Lengthy inscription dated 1851. It says, "Dem Lieutenant Von Winterfelt Von From The Second Guard Regiment Frederich Wilhelm Prinz Byern Riveria 1851" Blade etched for half its length. Brass hilt, silver wrapped grip, no scabbard. Blade is in good condition with crisp etching. Hilt retains some of its original gilding. Interesting presentation sword.
