Manufactured 1879 to 1886 by Whitney Arms in New Haven, Connecticut. This is considered the small or light frame. Features full round barrel, full magazine, sporting sights, blued finish and rifle butt. All metal surfaces are a dark chocolate brown patina. Fine walnut forend. The buttstock has cracks, repairs, plugs, a broken hammer spur. Strong visible rifling. Most of the screws are replaced and marred. Typical attic-find condition. Great Western look.
