Comprising: A) Model 1850 Militia Sword with scabbard. Straight diamond section blade, solid cast brass hilt and guard, probably Bannerman assembled from parts, some contemporary. Complete with steel scabbard etched "A.O.U.W.". Fair condition; blade has been cleaned and retains some dark areas near top. Guard with languettes bent outward. Hilt and grip retain a mellow patina, scabbard has some areas of rust and dark spotting. B) Model 1850 Militia Officer's Sword. Nickle plated, straight diamond section blade, cast brass guard and night's head pommel. Fluted bone grip complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts. Good condition; blade has some light surface rust, hilt retains a dark patina. Bone grip has one small trip near pummel, otherwise retains a yellow patina. Scabbard has two tape repairs. C) Model 1850 Militia Sword with straight diamond section blade, cast brass hilt with nickle plating and eagle on top of pummel. Complete with nickle plated brass scabbard. Fair condition; blade retains a spotted grey patina. All nickle plated surfaces show some minor edge wear and may have been plated another time. Grip is loose and has one chip. Eagle finial probably replaced. D) A fine guilt brass model 1850 Militia Officer's Sword. Straight blade etched with oak leaves, foliage and a patriotic eagle marked on ricasso with "Horstman/Philadelphia" Detailed cast brass hilt with relief eagles on both sides, languettes with scenes of knights. Brass pummel with eagle finial black leather grip with guilt brass wire wrap. Complete with engraved brass scabbard with armor and weapons displayed on front. Excellent condition with a few scattered marks from use.
