This standard 98 has the Nazi eagle cartouche on left side of barrel and frame. Chamber is stamped "42 1939". Code 42 is the factory code for Mauserwerke. Waffenamt 63 on right side of barrel. Two Waffenamts on right side of chamber. The balance of the metal parts bear various numbers, with numbers on the barrel, action, and stock all matching. Some parts are electro-pencil numbered to match. Import stamp under barrel. Metal parts on rifle retain the majority of the blue-black arsenal refinish. Laminate stock in excellent condition with usual dings. This rifle has the same serial number as lot 201, which was produced in 1937.
