Manufactured 1858. Standard, early, New York address 1849 with the scarce 6" barrel. All matching numbers to include wedge and loading lever. Standard features include octagon barrel, five shot, percussion, varnished one piece walnut grips. Cylinder has the roll-engraved stagecoach scene. Two line patent on left side of frame. All original nipples. Backstrap and trigger guard retain approximately 80% of the original plated finish. Excellent cylinder scene. Balance of gun is a brown-grey patina with razor sharp legends and sharp edges. Grips are excellent and retain most of the original varnish. Strong rifling. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Comes in an original period oak box with a Colt brass flask, nipple wrench, two cavity Colt bullet mold and an original E.B. cap tin.
