Manufactured 1866. This beautiful 1851 Navy has the New York address and "L" sub-inspector marks. All matching numbers including wedge and cylinder. 95% roll-engraved cylinder scene. 30-40% high polish mirror blue on octagon barrel. Sharp legends. 30-40% case colors on loading lever. Cylinder has flaked. Frame has traces of case colors. 15% silver plating on straps. Excellent walnut grips with varnish. Action is tight as new. Strong, clean rifled bore. Far above average late 1851 Navy.
