Manufactured 1895. This standard rifle features full octagon barrel, 2/3 magazine, takedown, special order case colored frame, small grooved walnut forend, walnut buttstock with rifle buttplate, standard sporting front and rear sights. Barrel has razor sharp edges and legends. Barrel and tube retain approximately 90% of the original factory blue finish, starting to blend with a lovely plum blue. 30% case colors on left side of frame, 10% at base and 10% on right side; balance dull and patterned out. Walnut buttstock is excellent, proud to metal with no cracks. Fine action. Strong rifling with minor black powder abrasion.
