Octagonal rifled top barrel over round smoothbore bottom barrel signed "W. M.", top barrel with sights. Replaced wooden ramrods on each side. Twin stamp-engraved back action, percussion lock plates, the left with extended hammer face to reach bottom barrel. Features include double triggers, a two piece small patch box, and a deer inlaid in silver on the cheekpiece of the plain walnut stock. Good condition, barrels retain a brown patina with some freckling around breeches, and scattered marks. Locks have been cleaned, and retain a light gray patina. Stock refinished, and brass is coated with varnish. A few screws replaced. This is an attractive and early percussion combination gun, would look great over the fireplace.
