This 20" professor and his 14" student were created by the German Kersa Company in the early 1950's. Dressed in all original felt clothing, the rabbits have wool plush jointed heads, glass eyes and characteristic Kersa felt shoes with a metal identifying tag on the shoes' soles. Rabbits were Kersa's specialty and their hares often mirrored the artistry of the German whimsical Easter lithos.
