According to the factory letter, this .32-40 rifle was shipped with a No. 3, 30" half octagon barrel and featured set trigger, checkered stock, pistol grip, mid-range Vernier wind gauge sights (not present), no rear seat (sight), Swiss buttplate (nickel) and cheekpiece and was shipped August 13th, 1892; returned and repaired August 24th, 1892. The barrel retains approximately 98-99% original factory blue finish. Frame retains virtually all of the brilliant Winchester case colors. The deluxe high gloss stocks feature fiery grain, retain most of their original varnish and are in near mint condition. 98% original nickel on buttplate. Sights have been removed. Rifle now sports a 34" long tube scope with adjustable mounts; we can find no maker's name on scope but has beautiful optics with standard cross-hairs. Mounts retain the majority of their original high polish blue. Overall, an amazing deluxe High Wall in near new condition. CORRECTION: Scope appears to be factory applied but does not letter as such.
