Manufactured between 1980 and 1983. Features scarce nickle finish, six shot, double action, built on the square butt target N frame, three screw, pinned barrel, target sights, case colored target hammer and trigger, and silver medallion rosewood grips. Retains 89% original nickle finish with a couple of minor age spots. Includes a black service holster and an additional pair of rubber grips. This model is fairly scarce with the short barrel and nickle finish, and it includes an affidavit signed by Bob Fernandez, dated June 2000, stating that when he joined the Bastrop County Sheriff's Department in 1985, he purchased this Model 25-5. This was his service revolver from 1985 to 1996. This is a interesting gun with a Texas service history.
