Manufactured 1867. Offered is an extremely early civilian Colt in .45 caliber. All numbers match including barrel and cylinder. Has early style ejector rod housing with donut head, single line barrel address with serifs and two line patent date on left side of frame. All metal is basically a brown patina. It appears that there was a repair to the front blade. Very good one piece walnut stocks with finish added and chip at toe. Indexes and locks up fine with a strong, clean bore. Very nice, early example of a scarce 5-1/2" barrel commercial revolver.
