Probably Pennsylvania made, possibly Lehigh or Berks County. Octagonal rifled steel barrel with three elongated oval inlays near breech, one on each flat. Diminutive front and rear sights. Flat stamp engraved lockplate marked "WARRANTED" in center. Plain brass furniture includes buttcap, trigger guard, full sideplate, ramrod ferrules and nosecap. Stock inlaid with three silver hearts on each side and features a shield escutcheon on wrist. Full length, partially figured stock carved with incised designs around barrel tang, lock, sideplate and in front of trigger guard. Very good condition, barrel retains a dark grey patina with some edge wear and scattered marks. Lock professionally reconverted and retains a dark grey patina with some light freckling and wear, mechanism needs some slight adjustment. Stock is very good with some minor age cracks and scattered marks. Brass retains a nice patina.
