Manufactured 1883. Features full heavy round barrel, full magazine, Rocky Mountain blade front sight, Winchester semi-buckhorn rear sight, blued finish, brass carrier, case colored hammer and lever, rifle butt and varnished walnut stocks. This rifle has survived in all original configuration with lots of finish. Barrel and tube retain 90% original factory blue drifting with soft patina for a very even, homogenous look. Left side of frame has approximately 40% of the original factory bright blue with balance blending. Right side of frame has approximately 30% original bright blue. 80% Nitre blue on loading gate. Hammer and lever have patterned out to soft grey. Walnut stocks are excellent and proud to metal with some usual dings but still retaining much varnish. Buttplate is soft patina. Sharp legends. Action is fine. Strong rifling present. Factory research included. Far above average and a very nice example of an iconic Western firearm. Serial No. 113756 shipped June 22nd, 1883 as a round rifle with plain trigger.
