This very well made fowler has an authentic appearance and feel. It features an aged round steel barrel inscribed "Netting" on the top and surrounded by a scroll engraved border. Early doglock mechanism with half cock safety catch and flat lockplate, removable touch hole. Engraved brass furniture and oil finished full length walnut club butt stock with carved decoration around barrel tang and ramrod entry ferrule. Steel furniture has an aged surface. Excellent condition overall, showing little or no use and with a few light scattered storage marks. CORRECTION: This has a cherry butt stock.
