Similar to Mutoscope's Zelda fortune teller machine, the Mystic Swami is a male automaton and the first of its kind. After a dime is inserted, the Swami becomes animated - the head and eyes lower and the hands slowly move over the crystal ball, then a fortune card is dispensed out of the lower cabinet. The automaton is wearing a turban, eccentric clothing and has his nails painted red. Circa 1954. Clear coat on cabinet has some peeling and some reproduction parts. Two keys are provided. All original clothing and jewelry.
