The National Automatic Machine Co. created this floor model penny scale in 1929. It features a nicely refinished white and grey metal cabinet with brass platform and glass front. The dial face has darkened over time, however, the numerals are still legible. To operate, patrons step on the scale and then drop a penny into the coin slot. The dial will then spin around to their weight in pounds. After stepping off the scale, the penny drops through a pin field and is either returned to the patron or rolls through a set of ramps, ringing the "Normandy Chimes" and then is deposited into the cash box. A beautiful scale that works wonderfully. Four keys are included. Considered one of the most desired scales ever produced and extremely rare.
Condition: (Excellent).
