Manufactured 1964. The 5E was one of the highest grade single barrel shotguns offered in the United States at the time. Barrel features high matted vent rib with dual beads, illumination front sight, jeweled flats, automatic ejector, deluxe triple X or better beavertail forend, Deeley release, pistol grip straight comb stock, composite grip cap, and red Ithaca sunburst recoil pad. Light engraving on both sides at breech. All matching numbers. Retains virtually 99.9% rust blue. The frame is a boxlock that features deeply chiseled scrollwork with an oval vignette carved in relief with a high relief gold pheasant. Engraved American eagle on base with engraved trigger guard. A relief chiseled panel scene on right side with gold applique snipe. Beautiful case colors. Mirror bore. Stock features pistol grip checkered with deluxe Fleur-de-Lis style checkering. All base screws line up at 12 o'clock. Engraved release. This shotgun appears to be in literally near new condition overall. Beautiful custom deluxe special order shotgun. Comes with hard aluminum case.
