Straight double-fullered blade marked "PRICE" on ricasso horizontally on left side. Cast German silver hilt with relief chased scenes of dogs hunting a boar on both sides of guard, knuckle bow features relief scrolls. Silver pommel cap and ferrule at bottom of four-piece horn grip. Pommel features relief foliate designs and a capstan. Price was listed as an English sword maker in the mid to late 18th century. Blade retains a spotted grey patina with some nicks on edge and scattered light freckling. Hilt is polished and shows some minor casting flaws, wear, and marks. Overall, a very nice and decorative hunting sword.
