Factory letter states this pistol was shipped December 23rd, 1915 to Sears in Chicago as an all standard revolver. During the period, some one added two little 1" areas of engraving on both sides of the frame and slide. the owner's initials ("R.?.") are in two of the four panels, one on each side. Very professionally done, very tasteful and of the period. Pistol retains approximately 95% original factory blue with high edge wear. Thinning in backstrap. Brilliant case colors on hammer. Excellent to near mint hard rubber grips. Original magazine stamped "CAL. 38 COLT". Fine bore and action.
