Manufactured 1870-71. Features full round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, front sight is part of the barrel band, two leaf folding rear sight, brass frame, walnut stocks, brass carbine butt, and saddle ring and stud. The all steel parts are a grey-brown patina with usual age freckling and sharp barrel legends. Brass frame is excellent and has never been touched, but previous owner has scratched his name into the bottom of lifter "MOROBINSON". A few of the screws show severe distortion. Wood is good with open grain and a repaired crack on right wrist. Loading gate still has 30% original blue. Strong, visible rifling with usual black powder abrasion. Overall, has a great Western look with that attic-found untouched eye-appeal.
