London 1905, Samuel Garrard, with a pear shaped body, similar lid and domed foot massively cast and chased in the Rococo revival style with leafage scrolls, shell work and floral panels, one side set with a cast representation of the Royal Arms with supporters, the other side with a relief of Diana as Huntress with two hounds, the finial cast as a winged figure of Victory holding a laurel wreath in one hand and an olive branch in the other, all on a molded shaped foot. Fully marked. On a conforming black-painted wooden stand with applied letters reading "ASCOT 1906". Height: 27-1/2". Weight: 303.05 toz. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
