A full octagon barrel, set trigger, full magazine and crescent butt are just some of the features of this 1881 produced Winchester Model 1872 Second Model rifle. Documented with a factory letter verifying the configuration and indicating a shipment date of December 10th, 1881. The overall condition is very fine with over 80% blue finish remaining on barrel and magazine. Receiver retains approximately 30% fading blue finish with balance turning plum. The two piece walnut stocks are very fine with most factory varnish remaining; slight finish loss at bottom of forearm and at wrist from typical handling and carry. This is a very fine overall condition rifle with a very good bore and great, smooth operating mechanics.
