Manufactured 1943. Left side of slide is stamped "US&S CO SWISSVALE PA USA" and has a distinct temper line and matte finish. "P" on top side of slide. Right side of frame stamped "UNITES STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 US ARMY". Brown composite Keyes star grips. Left side of slide has the "RCD" stamp for Robert C. Downey, the "RCD" in circle can be found on all US&S 1911's. "P" near magazine release. Features short checkered trigger, spurless checkered hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, checkered arched mainspring housing with lanyard. Slide shows only light high edge wear. Blued barrel is stamped "HS" for High Standard. Has a blued, pinned five view magazine. 98% overall arsenal finish on one of the harder to find World War II Model 1911A1's. Fine bore and action.
