Gun (A) is a Savage made No.4 Mk.I Enfield that was refurbished at Ishapore aresenal in 1966 and so marked. The original markings were lined out, US PROPERTY removed from receiver, and the new markings stamped in the usual places. Z prefix to serial number as is common on R.F.I. refurbished Bren guns. Import marked on the left side of the receiver. Matching numbers as per refurbish, including magazine. Retains 85% finish. Wood has scratches with nicks and dings. Proper style sling and standard spike bayonet, missing scabbard. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Good mechanical function. Gun (B) is a standard 1944 dated gun. Does not appear to have an arsenal marking on it, most likely made the Royal Ordnance Factory in Maltby, South Yorkshire. Bolt and receiver are matching, the magazine is not. Import marked on the bottom of the barrel. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Good mechanical function. Proper style sling. Brass buttplate. Wood is good with numerous small dings and handling marks.
